Friday was a battle between the Trojans! The boys hosted the East Jackson Trojans in a game that was rescheduled from Thursday, and the girls hosted the Madison Trojans.

First up for the night was the JV Boys team. The boys took the lead heading into halftime and then extended that lead to 12. Unfortunately, foul trouble took over and East Jackson was able to make a come back in the final minutes of the game defeating WL by 4. High scorers of the game were Zach Brady with 12 and Gareth Romine with 8.

At the 6:00 slot, the girls began their TCC season in a face off again Madison. They stayed with last year’s first place team for much of the first quarter. However, Madison’s press proved to be too much for the ladies and the Trojans of Madison were able to build too much of a lead for the WL Trojans to overcome.

The boys varsity team against the East Jackson Trojans was the final game of the evening. Both teams battled on both ends of the court, but East Jackson’s rebounding proved to be a big difference in the game. In the second half, the boys turned up the heat and were able to put a dent in the deficit, but some turnovers by WL and easy buckets for East Jackson, and the momentum turned. In the end, the WL Varsity team lost by 14. Ryan Thoman led the team in points with 16 along with 4 steals. Carter Stefanovski had a busy night pulling down 8 rebounds.
